Rural East Lothian : The End Of The Road?
Rural East Lothian : The End Of The Road?
According to the map, a minor road passes through Newton Hall and comes out the other end to meet the Long Newton - Longyester road.

I am on a bicycle, so can I continue and hope to sneak past Newton Hall un-noticed (hoping I don't encounter any closed gates or dogs), or should I turn around at this point and take the long way round?

I can't remember what the Scottish "right-to-roam" legislation says about the public use of private roads by pedestrians and cyclists to go from point A to point B.

However, in order to avoid hassle with people and any encounters with dogs (which always harass and attack me) I turned around.
