Charles Cotton Hotel and a Cornish Shrimper
Charles Cotton Hotel and a Cornish Shrimper
Charles Cotton made contributions to Izaak Walton's 1653 book the Compleat Angler which centred on fishing; particularly fishing for trout and grayling on the River Dove.

The boat 'anchored' outside was named "Cornish Shrimper". It couldn't have been much further from the sea and shrimps anywhere in the British Isles.
