Road crossing the Afon Irfon, Powys
This is near the foot of the Devil's Staircase hairpin bends. The road is crossing the first of three Irish bridges, which are really just fords raised up by concreting over a set of pipes.
The road is the single track mountain road linking Tregaron with Abergwesyn via Cwm Camddwr and Cwm Tywi, including the famous 25% gradient Devil's Staircase. The road is a popular tourist drive, dangerous or impassable in icy conditions, and liable to flooding here after prolonged heavy rain.
