Nerine bowdenii
Nerine bowdenii
Also known as the Guernsey Lily, this bulbous herbaceous plant is neither a lily (it is in the Amaryllis family) nor native of the Channel Islands.
It's an import from the Eastern Cape of South Africa and is used in British gardens as a welcome splash of pink colour at a time of the year more redolent of autumnal reds and yellows.
The buds are purple/magenta on the outside and the flowers open to this rich pink.
