The Friary, Friar Gate, Derby
The Friary, Friar Gate, Derby
The pub occupies an impressive Georgian town house of seven bays and three storeys whose facade has been disfigured by a C20th porch. The rest dates from c1730. Grade II* listed.
Friar Gate has fine sequences of Georgian houses, almost continuous on the north side of the street, bittier on the south side.
