Crofton Engine House, Kennet and Avon Canal
Crofton Engine House, Kennet and Avon Canal
This is open to the public at certain times and the original beam engines can be viewed. They are still in working order and at certain times they are steamed. The smokestack has now been restored to its original height. To see a photograph of the engine house in 1976, when the stack was still shortened, see SU2662 : Crofton Engine House, Kennet and Avon Canal
