99 Friar Gate, Derby
Stately mid-Georgian house of five bays and three storeys (plus basement). The windows have deeply moulded surrounds and triple keystones, and there is a fine pedimented doorcase (SK3436 : Detail of 99 Friar Gate, Derby). Built c1750 for the Burdett famuiy. David or William Hiorne may have been the architect. Grade II* listed.
Now offices.
Friar Gate has fine sequences of Georgian houses, almost continuous on the north side of the street, bittier on the south side.
