Holy Trinity Church - Sutton Montis
Built below Camelot Fort, better known as Cadbury Castle, Holy Trinity lies in the old village of Sutton Montis and is Grade I listed. Although there was probably a Saxon church where the present building stands, the main structure is Norman with some restoration. The parish got its name from the ancient de Suthona Mont-Acuto family. ("Suth" meaning South and "ton" town or village. The family of Mont-Acuto came over with William the Conqueror and was granted the land).
