Baboon Statue, Cliveden
The two Baboon Statues in the Long Garden are granite and originally flanked an Egyptian Temple entrance and are over 2,000 years old. The use of granite makes these statues unique as other examples are made from limestone. They are thought to represent the god Thoth, (God of Writing and Wisdom).
