Model aircraft at Weybourne Airfield
Weybourne was listed as the Royal Air Force's smallest airfield.
The Weybourne Camp was initially an Army coastal defence base during the First World War and then became an anti-aircraft artillery base until 1958.
It is still an active airfield, popular with model and full-sized aircraft - see TG1043 : Weybourne airfield, TG0943 : Yak and Cessna 150 at Weybourne airfield, 2000 and TG0943 : Yak and Cessna 150 at Weybourne airfield, 2000. For aerial shot see TG0943 : Weybourne airfield.
The RAF still has a radar station within the area.
Next to the airfield is the Muckleborough Military Collection. See LinkExternal link
