Ruins of Leather Tor Farm
Ruins of Leather Tor Farm
When this was a working farm it had extensive views over the open moor, but now surrounded by trees in the Norsworthy Plantation. The ruin in view was built around 1870 on the site of a much older building. The farm was abandoned in 1924 because it was in the catchment area for the new Burrator reservoir and the Plymouth corporation did not want any farming activity within this area.
