Believed to be one of Pontefractís oldest buildings , The Counting House, last used as a pub, was closed early in 2012, amid concerns of its deteriorating condition, and is now supported by scaffolding to stabilise the building.
The Counting House was originally built as a merchantís counting house and was restored in the 1990s.
