The Minster Church of Sts Thomas
The Minster Church of Sts Thomas
This late 12th Century Church was initially dedicated to St Thomas of Canterbury, but in the reign of Henry VIII, when Thomas Becket was declared a traitor, the Canterbury part of the dedication was dropped and it became widely assumed that the church was dedicated to St Thomas the Apostle.
