The Man in the Moon Public House
The Man in the Moon Public House
This building on the east side of St James Street, Newport, is the former Congregational Church, built in 1848. The site was previously occupied by the Man in the Moon public house, recorded in the will of one John Hopkins ( Gent of Newport) as early as the year 1680. The Church was converted back into a public house by Wetherspoons in 2014.
