These ruins were associated with the Wortley Tin Mill which was probably established in 1743, closing in 1860.It produced tin plate until the late C18th. when it was adapted for rolling iron bars and plates. There are the ruins of the wire mill, a rolling mill and three workshops. This image was taken during an October 2014 archaeological excavation.
