When the 26 wind turbines have been erected on nearby Scout Moor the electricity will be exported to the National Grid via this newly built dedicated substation south of the A680 near to Ashworth Moor Reservoir.
The Wind Farm will consist of 26 individual wind turbines, each one generating 2.5MW.
In total the whole wind farm will generate 65MW enough power to supply the average needs of 40,000 homes.
