Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red
The Tower of London remembers installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red, marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. It was created by the ceramic artist Paul Cummins, with setting by stage designer Tom Piper, 888,246 ceramic poppies will progressively fill the Tower's famous moat. Photo taken on the last day of October 2014, the mildest such day in living memory with some people wearing T shirts.
