Hayling Pound
The board above the seat states : There were few Pounds in England constructed of stone prior to 1778, and Hayling Pound was one of these since the Court records of that year stated that "The Pound had been destroyed and shound be rebuilt by the Lord of the Manor"
Having been partially demolished in recent years by road changes, the Bosmere Hundred Society has refurbished the remains and indicated the original extent of the Pound with paving stones.
