Two members of the Pringle family, that seems to have connections with this church (see also SM8127 : Norma's seat at Llanhywel) are here commemorated by this painting by Marguerite Hawkett called "the Donation". It shows King Aercol kneeling before St Teilo, making a gift of land for the establishment of churches in gratitude for the bishop's help in bringing the king's unruly court to order. St Hywel, standing behind, was one of Teilo's disciples who benefited thus, this church being one of those sites.
