Water Cascade at Dyrham Park
Water Cascade at Dyrham Park
View north-east with the house in the background. The small formal water garden to the west of the house was largely the work of Charles Harcourt-Masters. William IV Blathwayt employed Harcourt-Masters around 1800 to remodel the once extravagant gardens of a hundred years earlier into a more manageable estate. The area surrounding the cascade and the linked ponds here became the only formal garden at Dyrham Park.
