SK3627 : St Michael's Church

St Michael's Church
St Michael's Church
St Michael's Church is on some of the highest ground in the village. The church's early history is obscure but there has probably been a church on the site for a long time, given the Saxon and Norman remains there. The present building is primarily of 13th and 14th century origin although there is some Norman stonework. The porches and roofs of the church were rebuilt in 1860.
