Murrooughtoohy

Murrooughtoohy or Muiriúch Tuaithe is an area between the sea and the R477 to the south of Black Head. It consists almost entirely of limestone pavement and being adjacent to the coast road is perhaps the most accessible of this geological phenomenon so typical of the Burren.
