East Usk Lighthouse, Newport Wetlands
East Usk Lighthouse, Newport Wetlands
An early evening view with the Uskmouth power station complex in the background.
The lighthouse sends out 2 flashes every 10 seconds.
It is built on legs but these are now covered as the surface level of the ground was raised with the tipping of ash from the power station. More information can be found on the Newport Harbour Commissioners' web page LinkExternal link .
For a summer view of the lighthouse from the other side see LinkExternal link .
