NT1783 : Braefoot Plantation / Braefoot Bay Gun emplacements

taken 12 years ago, near to Dalgety Bay, Fife, Great Britain

Braefoot Plantation / Braefoot Bay Gun emplacements
Braefoot Plantation / Braefoot Bay Gun emplacements
WWII gun emplacements. Fortifications left over from wartime. The tracks to take the ammunition from the store to the guns are clearly visible still. ..

A battery of guns was available to protect the Forth Estuary. Bristling with guns around here, it was, over fifty years ago.

Reminiscent of the (Gregory Peck?) film "The Guns of Navarone".
