Leat linking Hisehope Reservoir and Smiddy Shaw Reservoir
Leat linking Hisehope Reservoir and Smiddy Shaw Reservoir
A leat transfers water from the Hisehope Reservoir to the Smiddy Shaw Reservoir. There is only a five metre drop along the leat which follows the contour between the two for 2 km. As a result, flow is sluggish and the leat is partly choked with vegetation, although over this length it is obvious that vegetation has been cleared recently.
