View north with the Boathouse Pond on the right and a carpet of snowdrops in the foreground. Completed in 1839 by Anthony Salvin for the First Earl Brownlow in the style of a Swiss chalet. Fell into disrepair in the 20th century, but nicely restored to the original design in 2008.
