Emperor Dragonfly (Anax imperator)
The pool on Cadnam Common is excellent for dragonflies as it has a variety of habitats around the edge, and may have no fish as becomes very dry at times. Late August is quite late in the season for an Emperor to still be out, and you can tell from the wings!
