Westminster: Department of Energy and Climate Change
This Government department building is at 55 Whitehall. It was built in 1909 for the Commissioners of Woods & Forests to the designs of the architect J. W. Murray. The rear extension, visible on the right, is much later, dating from 1952. The building was later used by the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food before being occupied by the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
