taken 9 years ago, near to Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England

Cathedral Area, Lincoln
Cathedral Area, Lincoln
A northerly view towards the Cathedral from the footbridge that links Tentercroft Street (behind the photographer) to Oxford Street - i.e. the A57. It carries foot traffic over the rail tracks on the approach to Lincoln Central Station’s eastern end. It was built for the Great Northern Railway and opened in 1851. The bridge is in two parts with a dog-leg connection on the Oxford Street side. The top of the steps to/from Oxford Street can be seen.
