The Bank Buildings, Belfast (detail)
The Bank Buildings, on the corner of Castle Street and Castle Place, was built in 1899-1900 as a department store. It closed during the early days of the bombing campaign, later being acquired by a national multiple. The interior was altered but the exterior remains unchanged. This is the clock still showing the correct time.
