TQ1972 : Path alongside Pen Pond Plantation

taken 9 years ago, near to Ham, Richmond Upon Thames, England

Path alongside Pen Pond Plantation
Path alongside Pen Pond Plantation
View northwards, from the southern end of the plantation. The path follows the plantation boundary, crossing marshy ground. About 120m in front of the camera it reaches a wide ditch, often flooded in the winter months (and impassable on the day of the photograph without wellingtons). Beyond the ditch the going can be very swampy (close to the Upper Pen Pond reedbed) and the path fragments.

Richmond Park is a National Nature Reserve.
