Cranbrook is a historic market town and the smallest town in Kent.
The town has a wealth of history, once being a central hub of industry in the South East hundreds of years ago. It was at the centre of Wealden cloth industry, there were many iron making businesses, and a number of breweries. There were once over twenty mills in the area, one of the few remaining; the Union windmill, is the tallest smock mill in the UK.
