Rusting barrister, Town Quay Bridge
Rusting barrister, Town Quay Bridge
One of three relief sculptures at the racecourse end of the Town Quay Bridge. It represents Ivy Williams, a native of the town who became Britain's first female barrister. Behind is a rather more recognisable Brunel, while the third figure is out of shot. The sculptures, which do not appear to be carry any information anywhere on the site are also almost impossible to photograph avoiding the tall wire fence immediately behind them!
