Fulmodeston is a small North Norfolk village which, like most rural communities, has lost some of its character in the past 30 years. The school has closed down; the shop and Post Office is now a private dwelling; the last pub, the Hastings Arms, became a B & B before converting to a private house and the old bakery disappeared 0ver 20 years ago.

A way of life has changed since the supermarket juggernauts Tesco - in 2006 - and Morrison arrived in nearby Fakenham. The town has struggled on but places like Fulmodeston have suffered. The Community Club in The School Hall is still thriving but progress has not been kind in friendly villages like Fulmodeston.
