SE9336 : The Swin Dale pond

taken 9 years ago, near to High Hunsley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England

The Swin Dale pond
The Swin Dale pond
Not much evidence of a pond here except for a circular depression in the dale bottom. There is a concrete edge to the pond and one would suspect that it is concrete lined and relied on rainfall for its water supply. It would appear to be of 20thC construction as it is shown on the 6" OS map of 1952, but not on that of 1908.
