NT3666 : A68, Fordel

taken 13 years ago, near to Cousland, Midlothian, Great Britain

A68, Fordel.
A68, Fordel.
The A68 is many people's choice of route between Newcastle and Edinburgh. It is also the road that the signposts try to force traffic to and from the Borders upon. It is consequently rather busy. Here it is climbing from Dalkeith towards the Southern Uplands, crossed at Soutra. There are few bypasses, and the road currently goes through Dalkeith. A bypass is planned and will join the existing road about this point. The protesters are already active and have posters up along the route.
