Footbridge in Floating Island valley
The footbridge and causeway carry the Stanswood-Badminston bridleway across Floating Island valley. This area was once a floating island with trees on it. As the land became better drained it settled and became established. To the right of the footbridge is a sluice - water from Mopley Pond drains down the valley to this sluice, then on to Stanswood Mill and Jugglers Moor.
