SY5686 : Rees Jeffries Road Fund plaque

Rees Jeffries Road Fund plaque
This plaque is in a lay-by on the coast road at Wears Hill. It commemorates W. Rees Jeffries who raised money for roadside stopping places at viewing points. The view referred to is very similar to the First Geograph for this square. The organization still exists, providing money for road research of various types, but I couldn't find a suitable website to link to. (If anyone has more info, please let the moderators know.)
This is an interesting roadside item, but rather a pity that it's just stuck on a knob of rough concrete.
