South Stack and Lighthouse
South Stack and Lighthouse
South Stack is an island off the north-west coast of Anglesey. It is connected to the mainland by an aluminium footbridge opened in 1997. This replaced 2 previous footbridges and an even earlier cable system.
The lighthouse was completed in 1809. It has been automated since 1984.
