The cross on the green in front of Applegarth church is a war memorial. Inside the church is another memorial in the form of a pair of stained glass windows. The windows were refurbished in about 1996. The church stands in the rather grandly named Applegarthtown, which is actually a tiny hamlet of just a few buildings.
