Site of former Prestwick Swimming Pool
Opened in 1931 at a cost of £37,000 the Olympic standard unheated pool could accommodate 1,200 bathers and a further 3,000 spectators. Venue for BBC's 'It's a Knockout' in May 1971. Closed in 1972 and finally demolished in 1982. Site now used as a play area. The Isle of Arran can be seen in the far distance.
