H. Ballantyne & Sons Pumped Storage Hydro-Electric Scheme

The Category B listed remains of a pioneering pumped storage hydro-electric scheme to power mills in Walkerburn in the Tweed valley stand prominent on the Kirnie Law above the village. Construction of the scheme started in 1919, being completed three years later.
