TL2614 : War memorial , St Peter's church Tewin
taken 9 years ago, near to Tewin, Hertfordshire, England
War memorial , St Peter's church Tewin
The war memorial is grade II listed which is quite unusual. The reason for this are explained in
Link (entry in British Listed Buildings). Apparently it is listed because it was designed by a Sir Herbert Baker and he has "over forty listed buildings to his name". It seemed a bit of a circular argument to me. See
Link for a detail of the monument which shows a sailing ship (I don't know why).
