SE0102 : Indian's Head above Greenfield
3 km from Greenfield, Oldham, Great Britain

Indian's Head above Greenfield
This rock feature is part of Wimberry Stones, a gritstone edge on the south side of the Chew Valley near Greenfield. Wimberry Stones are known locally as Indian's Head because the profile of some of the buttresses resemble (using a degree of imagination) North American aboriginals. This view is a typical example taken from near the top of the scramble from Dovestone Reservoir to the edge of the moor.
