The Radio City viewing gallery at St John’s Beacon provides excellent panoramic views of the city and beyond (LinkExternal link Radio City).

The present museum building, opposite St George’s Hall, opened in 1860 as the William Brown Library and Museum. It is a grade II* listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 359739 LinkExternal link British Listed Buildings).

The elevated viewpoint provided by the Radio City gallery gives a good view of the formal layout of the St John's Gardens which can be seen in front of the museum.
