War Memorial Chapel: Strubby Church
In 1932, a chapel was constructed in the south aisle of the church complete with altar, candlesticks, cross and furniture, most of which is shown above. It is clear from the wording on the brass plaque, that the chapel was a memorial for all those who served and died in World War One in the village. The plastic covering is to protect the fabric of the church from bats that live in the roof. The altar table, as seen in the above photograph is clearly not the original altar.
