taken 9 years ago, near to Bishop Norton, Lincolnshire, England
St Peter's church at Bishop Norton is a Grade II listed building and is built of Oolite limestone. Inside the church there are several memorial tablets for the Harrison and Cholmeley familes and their mausoleum has been converted into a vestry.
The organ was built in 1868 by T H Nicholson and was originally powered by hand before being converted to electric blowers in 1961. The organ underwent a major restoration in 2008.
The inside of the church was reseated in 1868 and the roof refurbished in 1892. St Peter's was last restored in 1974 after a thunderbolt struck the tower. The east window is the only stained glass in the church and was donated by local farmer Alan Riggott.
Inside the church is an empty stone sarcophagus of undetermined age and origin.
