Big tree on Crosby Ravensworth Fell
Big tree on Crosby Ravensworth Fell
This large, solitary tree is a prominent landmark close to the Roman road which cuts over the moor. It escaped the all-pervasive sheep by growing out of reach in an area of limestone pavement. Beyond, the moor descends into the beautiful Vale of Lyvennet backed by the distant North Pennines.
