Old St. Bride's Kirk
The clock, with its face dated 1565, is said to be the oldest working tower clock in Scotland. Local tradition has it that Mary, Queen of Scots gifted it after staying nearby. It strikes the hour three minutes early, in keeping with the Douglas family motto 'Jamais arrière' ('Never behind')
