The north side of the square, the grandest feature of the New River Company's development of the area in the 1820s. The company surveyor, William Chadwell Mylne, was responsible. Impressively uniform, although those set back were rebuilt in 1947-48 after bomb damage in 1941 (TQ3182 : Myddelton Square, Islington). Grade II listed.
